Cohorts
Cohorts are an opportunity to take a deeper dive into liberated theology, ethnic identity, and community. Our hope is to create a space of liberation, healing, and transformation while centering the lived experience of women of color, QWOC, and nonbinary folks. We provide two types of cohorts, shorter 6 to 8 week cohorts and longer cohorts that run for 6 months to a year.
Upcoming Cohorts
Liberative Theologies
This cohort will offer an introduction to Indigenous Worldview, Womanist Theologies, Queer, and WOC centered theologies. More than an academic understanding, it will be an invitation to explore, be curious, and to reflect on what we know for ourselves.
Liberated Together Spiritual Direction School
Liberated Together School of Spiritual Direction trains and empowers WoC/QWoC and non-binary folks to facilitate one-on-one and group spiritual accompaniment through a 9-month training program.
Developing Your Social Justice Ethic
What comes after understanding white privilege? This cohort is a space for white folks who are in leadership or on diverse teams and navigating real life situations everyday.
We will work to connect with our bodies, do the deeper character work, and navigate real life situations with wisdom and intentionality.
Current Cohorts
Year Long Asian American Cohort
This cohort is an opportunity to dive deeper into community, liberated theology for Asian American women/folks, and exploring what it looks like to lead and do racial justice work in an authentic and integrated way.
Decolonize Your Spiritual Practice
This summer we will be offering a 4 week spiritual care group, focussed on reclaiming story, connecting with the Community of Creation, and connecting with our ancestors.
Applications close when the group is full, so it’s better to fill out the application soon.

How Cohorts Work
about
Cohorts are an opportunity to take a deeper dive into liberated theology, ethnic identity, and community. Our hope is to create a space of liberation, healing, and transformation while centering the lived experience of women of color, QWOC, and non-binary folks. We provide two types of cohorts, shorter 6 to 8 week cohorts and longer cohorts that run for 6 months to a year.
Cohorts are an experience of hope, connection, and liberation. No matter what the cohort is about there are several common experiences.
The experience of being seen and believed
Connecting with others who understand your lived experience
An embodied experience of liberation
Hope
shorter cohorts
We’ve hosted cohorts for Asian American women/folks confronting anti-Blackness, for Black women exploring rest and renewal, and cohorts guided by our Badass Indigenous Grandmas inviting us into their stories and decolonizing our faith. These types of cohorts run for 6-8 weeks and meet online.
longer cohorts
We also host longer cohorts that meet online for 4 to 6 months and then culminate with an in person retreat. These cohorts are focussed on building deep community, liberated theology, and sustainable approaches to justice work. We meet online and then gather in person. We have hosted a Grown Ass Woman Cohort for over 30 leaders that ran for a year and half and continues to meet of its own initiative, 2 cohorts for 20 something leaders, and a second Grown Ass Woman that ran for 6 months.

What I really love about being in this cohort is having a space to be transparent and vulnerable to people who I don’t have to explain myself to!
I love the space to come as you are even if it’s a hot mess inside a dumpster fire! Turns out I’m not the only hot mess and these women will bring me to Jesus even if they have to carry me on their backs!
There is something sacred about women of color holding space for one another when life has left you tired and prickly.
